This list documents sustainable practices the school is currently involved in.
These provide a sound model of how we 'walk our talk' to client groups. Students are actively involved in as many of the actions as practical.

Facilities/Maintenance
- Dual flush toilets in all buildings
- Timers on dormitory heaters and lights inside and outside of gym
- Insulation installed in walls, ceilings and under all dormitories
- Energy saving mini fluoros in dormitories
- Energy saving instantaneous gas water heaters for showers
- Hydrotherms turned off at weekend/school vacation periods
- Water coolers turned off during weekend/vacation periods and when temperature is 25 degrees or below
- Refillable soap dispensers in all buildings
- Earthwise toilet paper purchased in bulk
- Bin for recycling cans, glass in visiting teachers room
- Insulation placed in roof and walls of gym as part of asbestos roof removal
- Spring loaded taps installed at rainwater drinking trough

Rainwater tanks installed at caretaker's residence to model one aspect of a sustainable house
- Rainwater tanks with UV and bacterial filters at dining room used for drinking water by students, reducing use of mains water

Waterless urinals installed in staff and gymnasium toilets
- Water saving shower heads that meet the Australian standard of 9 litres per minute installed. Head has a non removable restrictor.
- Hydrotherm in staff room not replaced when deemed 'beyond repair'
- 2 x 132,000 litre tanks installed to capture rainwater from gym roof - to be reticulated though all buildings
- Floodlighting turned off weekend/vacation periods and when groups are not in residence
- Wattage of outside lights reduced to 30W fluoro from 70W
